Ventura County Live Steamers, Inc. was established in 1997 as an all volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation of the nation’s railroads rich mechanical engineering heritage. We are incorporated as a California non-profit public benefits corporation with 501c3 and 509a IRS charity status. Our purpose is to further the avocation of live steam railroad construction and operation for educational purposes and to provide recreational activities for physically/mentally challenged children of Ventura County, CA.
VCLS runs 1-1/2" scale, 7-1/2" gauge live steam at our new facility in Fillmore, CA, with gates open to the public on the third Sunday of each month from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. We are located at 270 Mt. View Ave. at the corner of Main St. and Mt. View Ave., one block east of the Fillmore City Hall.
