Details: Wilbur T. Frey was a master craftsman who built some 175 large model locomotives during his lifetime, using primarily cardboard and wood. His work combined the exacting skills of an artist with the research of a railroad historian. Highly prized by collectors, his models are found in museums, corporate offices, and private collections across the United States and Canada. For this special exhibit, the Walker Transportation Collection brings together, for the first time, twenty-five examples of Frey's work.
